In choosing our tap beer we looked no further than a selection from the Mac's family of craft ales, because Mac's embodies the birth of craft brewing in NZ and continues to be the country's leading craft beer brand. Now brewed a stones throw away on the waterfront in Wellington, Mac's provides a taste experience which is completely natural. Nothing artificial is added at any state of the brewing process. On a seasonal note, the pacific-rim fusion beer Sun Dance is currently ushering in summer. In the fridges, you'll find a selection from NZ and overseas including the popular Steinlager Pure, Kirin Ichiban, Corona, and Becks.
Our wine menu showcases some of the best of NZ and a few Australian reds (yes we must acknowledge their fantastic cabernet sauvignon and shiraz in particular). Our house wine is none other than the international acclaimed, award-wining Marlborough Oyster Bay range. Check out our regular Oyster Bay specials! A couple of other current favourites (and award-winners) are Maven's pinot gris (a generous, full-bodied yet dry style with pear and spiced apple aromas, notes of wild honey and stone fruit on the palate) and Mount Difficulty's Roaring Meg pinot noir (a really meaty red, with perfumed intensity and a taste of lovely sensual fruit with raspberry ripple creaminess and a savoury bite).
