The Craftsman situated on the corner of Courtenay Place and Cambridge Terrace, we are open every day, serving food from breakfast through to late night snacks, and everything in between. We are not trying to be anything more than what we are. Our philosophy, food and drink kept simple. We showcase some of the best of New Zealand, particularly the totally natural brews from the Mac's family of ales, with reverence to international products such as an enviable section of whiskey and cognac. Our coffee is fair trade and organic and is roasted by Flight Coffee. No compromises. We do takeaway coffee, burgers and pizzas.
There is something for everyone every night of the week and we also have a private function room avaiable free of charge for up to 25 people.

Expect a relaxed atmosphere with quality products and friendly service. A joint that cannot be pigeon holed as catering to one particular group - but where suits and chippies, inner city dwellers and suburbanites tripping to town, students and professionals, sports lovers and those for whom a game of scrabble is more their style - are welcomed and happy to enjoy the chilled, unpretentious setting. We are not trying to be anything more than what we are and that is a place that puts as much thought into the food we serve as the beer we dispense or the wine we pour.
Our philosophy is simple - food and drink we can be proud of. We showcase some of the best of New Zealand, particularly the totally natural brews from the Mac's family of ales, with reverence to international products such as an enviable section of whiskey and cognac. No compromises. Our dinner menu is a cut above the traditional pub grub without being overpriced. Our house wines are the internationally recognised and award winning Oyster Bay range from Marlborough. Find out more about our menu here.
